Local journalism in the corona crisis

Local journalism in the corona crisis
The state should help local journalism. But direct grants would create dependency on the state. There are better solutions.
The billions of packages that are packed everywhere to alleviate the hardships of the corona crisis mean a redistribution from everyone to everyone. It has to be just. If individual sectors are to be supported, public money should not prolong the defilement of outdated structures or honor poor performance. In terms of quality media, the statistics of Germany show an international comparison of impressive diversity and stability in terms of "editorial units" and "full editorial teams". In terms of ownership structures, one could almost speak of a positive special case in Germany.
